We support
the most common file formats.
We accept most file formats - As always dealers can send
their files in the most common formats. While many printing companies limit the
number of file formats they will accept, BCE continues to accept the widest
variety of file formats in the industry!
Native File Formats - BCE continues to accept files
in the following formats:
Native Illustrator (.ai) - up to version CS3**
Native Photoshop (.psd) - up to version CS3
Native InDesign (.ind) - up to version CS3**
Native CorelDraw (.cdr) - up to version 12**
Native Quark Xpress (.qxd) - up to version 6.5
Common File Exchange Formats - BCE
continues to accept files in the following formats:
Encapsulated Postscript (aka EPS - .eps)**
Adobe Portable Document Format (aka PDF - .pdf)
Tagged Image Format (aka TIFF - .tif)*
Joint Photographic Experts Group (aka JPEG - .jpg)*
What works best - our recommendation - We prefer
files saved in PDF, EPS or TIF formats with fonts converted to outline,
whenever possible. For full color printing, files MUST be defined and saved as
CMYK. Files in or with RGB elements will be rejected. Files from paint programs
such as Photoshop should have appropriate resolutions - normally 300
dpi and 1000 dpi for bitmapped art.
IF POSSIBLE - CONVERT FONTS TO OUTLINE!
* TIF and JPG files MUST be saved at a minimum resolution of 300 for
full color printing. JPG files MUST be saved with a quality setting of
MAXIMUM. BCE does not recommend using or setting of text within TIF or JPG
files.
** Please convert fonts to outline
